Ireland's Number 1 Kids Coding and Computing Club.
Almost every field of human endeavour relies more and more on software and software development for success. Other than coding and logical thinking being necessary skills, they’ll also give your child a chance to both be well paid in the future and also to do some of the more interesting and challenging jobs likely to be around. It has been predicted that be 2020 there are likely to be over 1 million unfilled jobs in the US alone that will be dependent on coding.
Kids Coder Club headed by lead mentor Mr. Trevor Murphy HDip, MSc is based in Co. Wexford and run workshops in the South-East and throughout Ireland with associated clubs, teaching children computer coding in a fun manner within a safe environment. Students can learn complex programming concepts with this fun graphical interface. We ensure your children will create and are exposed to coding games, understand what coding for kids is all about and are always exposed to best coding for kids practises.
What We Do – What is coding for kids?
The aim of this course is to take the fear out of the unknown and give the students an overview of the different elements of Computer Science, such as, engineering, science, mathematics and technology. We ensure that the kids have fun while they learn life skills that could see them gain employment in this sector in the future.
Upon completion of this 3 phased extra curriculum programme students will have covered critical areas of computing and coding. Gaining an understanding of many different areas from operating systems, networking, file extensions and file sizes, binary usage, command line usage and much more, whilst also covering algorithms, logic, syntax structures and debugging.
What is “Computing”?
Computing is the study of how computers and computer systems work, how they are constructed and programmed, and the foundations of information and computation. Not only is computing extraordinarily useful, it is also intensely creative, and creates a sense of satisfaction and excitement to the kids when they see their ideas come to life.

Benefits of Learning Coding
Learning coding empowers you to do many things you wouldn’t otherwise be able to do. These things include hand-crafting your own websites, becoming a career coder or even starting a technology business. Most importantly, you’ll be able to understand the technology shaping your world.
Computing is a Discipline
Mathematics and physics similarly to computing are disciplines, exploring foundational principles and ideas, such as algorithms for discovering the shortest paths in graphics or understanding approaches to flow controls. This differs from technology and skills such as the ability to use Excel which align with ICT elements. ICT involves exploring and developing skills for using popular applications, thereafter developing in the direction of business processes and organisations.

Bespoke Post-Primary School Courses
Delivered In House
Part of our services are the delivery of courses to secondary level students. These bespoke courses greatly enhance problem solving, interpersonal and self-directional skills helping students succeed in their future careers. They also aim to increase awareness and encourage interest in the field of Computer Science.
We have developed bespoke courses which are as follows:
INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER SCIENCE – COMPUTING, PROGRAMMING & IT SKILLS
We have had an excellent uptake rate to date particularly for Transition Year Students. We offer discounts to schools who uptake 2 of these courses. These courses can be implemented within any term of the school year. Please direct all inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org or check out Computingatschools.ie
